When 'I' live My Life with Ego-drive switched on, I feel persistently challenged but
When 'The Life' lives me on sans-Ego mode, I feel incessantly empowered.
The former way of living is a historically conditioned human-pattern, in a rampant and unregulated practice in this civilised world. But, the latter mode of evolutionary living, is a self-regulatory one and is reasonably difficult to practice amidst the prevalent power-trips on the former mode of travel.
The Ego-driven mode in such a shorter-span (HUMAN existence), is without doubt - quite enticing, energy craving-consuming-craving, 'I'-enhancing, ego-inflating, instantly gratifying, expeditious, enthralling but exhausting, a finite & health-at-risk mode of travelling in the Here.
Where as probably over a much cosmic span (LIFE, in existence), the sans-Ego mode - unsurprisingly would turn out to be an enormously ecological, effortless, engrossing, economical, energy-sharing, ego-deflating, enlightening, health-enriching, exhilarating & endless mode of travelling in the Now & the Here-after.
The capacity to realise that we have the ability to think, to choose and modify is what separates us Humans from the rest of the existing Life. This 'ability' comprises an exclusive application installed in our most advanced cerebral software systems. But, unfortunately we tend to use this advanced application quite sub-optimally and not precisely in the way it was supposed to be.
We must choose selflessly & wisely, as every single choice we make, in every single moment of our daily lives, is not happening without a consequence and these consequences affect not anyone else out there but Only Us.

VRS,
Have you read the latest novel by Paulo Coelho - 'Aleph'?
I believe it explains the intrigue behind particular relationships implicitly.
Your thoughts/opinions would be valued.
'And upon the pinnacle a glow resides'

VRS.
Thanks for your INSIGHT advice, Much appreciated.
In awe of your thoughts as ever. But I have a hard time grasping the concept of selfless choice. What is a selfless/ selfish choice? What constitutes a selfless choice? When does this struggle between a selfishness and selflessness arise - both in this materialistic world or otherwise? I'd really love to hear an example.
Great contemplations by the way. Though not at the stage to realize or practice these pearls, would like to read/hear more from you.
