Eye Sight Seeing

"Someone suggested - An eye for an eye.
Mahatma pleaded - An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind."

Out of the five senses of sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste. I believe an eye's sight is probably the most notoriously deluded sense or the one most amenable to lead us to perceive an illusion as the only reality and vice-versa.

I strongly feel, if one has to pick a sense to sacrifice, to secure peace of mind, this would be the one. It seems to be highly responsible for most of the suffering in this world. It also is very confusing, distracting and corrupting at the same time for your trembling, restless, fickle mind and we still trust it, to be believed in.

Blind, Sleeping, Meditating and Dead individuals are the most harmless of the humans, I humbly suppose. The world these humans imagine and dwell in, is as transitory and as formless as it has been promised to be, in every transcendental experience, mind or text.

Misty, curious eyes with some sight need immense training to avoid focusing, seeing and transmitting illusionary images to brain, to prevent misinterpretation which usually creates a blinding cloud of anxiety and  ignorance; whereas the eyes clearly blessed with true vision are intensely trained to focus well beyond the obvious and so always blissfully shine in wisdom of The Truth.

No, no no....for the sight brings heaven to one in times of great need...the beauty of a flower, the marvels of nature that abound all around.....birds in flight, green grass. No, the sight is the most precious gift of all the senses. Take any from me....yet pray the Lord does not take my sight.
